We saw the new film Cloverfield on Monday, and while I admit to enjoying a few minutes of suspended disbelief, I walked out of the movie asking “Why do all movie monsters sounds the same?” Ever since Jurassic Park, almost every “monster” in every movie (and even some LOST episodes) sounds the same. I’m sure the capabilities of THX & Dolby have something to do with it, but come on folks….why would a prehistoric animal sound the same as King Kong or an unidentified creature attacking NYC?
