It’s true. LinkedIn is shutting down their Events feature this month. 🙁
Here’s the scoop from a LinkedIn spokesperson chiming in on a Friends of LinkedIn group discussion:
On Monday, November 26, we will be retiring the LinkedIn Events feature from our site. We aim to ensure LinkedIn members have the best possible experience across each of our products and services, and will continue to look into new ways to help our members discover and manage events and opportunities that relate to their professional interests.
P.S. I’m betting they’re going to bring it back in some form, and at some point, they’ll start charging for use of it.
